Acadian Home Builders Association (AHBA) is a 501(c)(6) non-profit trade organization founded in 1960 by a group of visionary builders who saw the need to form an organization dedicated to advancing the home building industry in Lafayette and the surrounding areas.

About Acadian Home Builders Association

Over the years, AHBA has grown to become an influential association in Acadiana representing over 800 members in four parishes: Lafayette, Acadia, St. Martin, & Vermillion. AHBA includes home builders as well as associate members whose industries support building such as real estate companies, mortgage lenders, and various subcontractors.

AHBA strives to make Acadiana a better place to live through collaboration, political action, education and philanthropy.

Joining the Acadian Home Builders Association, also makes you a member of the Louisiana Home Builders Association (LHBA), and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) giving you access to member exclusive insurance programs, discounts and savings programs at some of the top companies in the nation.

Membership Levels

Acadian Home Builders Association is an organization of licensed builders and associates formed to promote professionalism and ethical business practices in providing quality housing that creates value for the homeowner and the community.

Builder Members

$565year
  • Individuals having a residential or commercial building license from the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors. Developers are also considered Builder Members even though they may not have a license.

Associate Members

$465year
  • Those in fields which support the building industry such as painters, electricians, real estate agents, mortgage lenders, etc.

Affiliate Members

$250year
  • If someone in a company already has an AHBA membership, another employee of the same company may join as an Affiliate member and will receive all of the same benefits as Associate members.
