Philanthropy
Home for the Holidays is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and annual project of the Acadian Home Builders Association.
Each year, the builder and associate members of AHBA build a brand new, state-of-the-art home which is given away in a raffle drawing right before Christmas. Proceeds from raffle ticket sales are dedicated to local, shelter-related charities including Lafayette Habitat for Humanity, Faith House, Healing House, and St. Michael’s Center for Veterans.
Since the project’s inception in 2005, Acadian Home Builders Association has poured over $2.2 Million back into the community through these local agencies. Our motto is: “What’s raised in Acadiana, stays in Acadiana.”

AHBA strives to make Acadiana a better place to live through collaboration, political action, education and philanthropy.
